About

Fibromyalgia

Living with fibromyalgia often means navigating fluctuating symptoms, exhaustions, medical uncertainty, and the ongoing search for support that truly understands chronic illness. Despite growing awareness, fibromyalgia is still widely misunderstood and many people struggle to find informed support.

The way I personally explain fibromyalgia is that the bodies systems have become overly sensitive and reactive. Symptoms can fluctuate throughout the day and vary greatly from person to person. Things like touch, weather changes, stress, food, sensory factors, or physical exertion can all become triggers.

Fibromyalgia can feel like the body is constantly in overdrive, contributing to chronic pain, sensory overwhelm, and fatigue that doesn’t improve with rest. Because fibromyalgia affects everyone differently, finding effective support and treatment can be challenging.

The Fibro Collective Australia

The Fibro Collective Australia was inspired by the fibromyalgia community through online support groups. The support, shared experiences and advice gave me hope, validation, and answers to questions many practitioners could not.

Over the years, I noticed the same questions being asked again and again. I began wondering – what if there was a way to bring those shared recommendations, experiences and insights together in one accessible place?

That idea became The Fibro Collective Australia: a space designed to help Australians living with fibromyalgia discover support through community knowledge and experiences.

Built with and inspired by the fibromyalgia community.

Together, we can find answers.
